It's Dan's Birthday!!!

It's the big 3-0 for my hubster!

I think 30 is going to be the year for all things great. :)

Wednesday night we had dinner at Reef with Dan's parents and brother.
We had yummy birthday drinks--Milkshakes "No Minors".

Wednesday night birthday dessert--Buttermilk Cheesecake

On Thursday, I made him a Key Lime Pie with graham cracker and hazelnut crust. Delicious!

On Friday, we went to Blue Bell Ice Cream (The Best Ice Cream In the Country) for the tour of the facility!
He wanted to go when he was little boy and I thought it would be a great 30th birthday treat.

This year was obviously the year of cookbooks!

Tonight we went out to dinner with my parents.
Dan wanted to go back to Fogo de Chao.

I can't believe I've celebrated 13 birthdays with this wonderful man!
Happy Birthday Hunny! Love you!

IBS Relief???

I tried this OTC medication first, but it didn't work.

Then, I tried this OTC medication...3 weeks in and it seemed to be working, but then I had a couple of bad days last week. :( So I guess it doesn't work.

I just don't get it. I hate my stomach!

Peppermint tea is supposed to help too. I hate tea (cold/hot), but I was willing to give it a try. I don't think I can drink that stuff daily. Bleh.

Front Yard Makeover

Our front yard was in desperate need of makeover.
Last month, with my parents help, we added sod & some more mexican heather to our front yard.

Originally, we wanted to make an edible front yard after reading a book called Edible Estates, but there have been several neighbors who have had their plants/flowers stolen so we quickly gave up on that plan. So for now we decided to go with a low-maintenance front yard.


This was before. I've got to admit it was an embarrassing sight.

This is after. Much better.

Pretty good, huh?
Who knew? You add sod and you can have a decent-looking yard. :-)

30 is here & I love it!!!

I had a fabulous 30th birthday!

My 20's were great, but I think my 30's are going to be freakin' awesome.

The way Baby Dan sleeps

Now that I've blogged about the way my baby girl sleeps I just have to blog about my baby boy. Now this boy is the king of napping. :)

Oh this boy of mine makes me laugh.

He just loves getting in between the two of us.
It's the perfect snug spot for Bubba.

He sleeps sitting up (in between his mom & pops of course).

He finds the oddest positions to get into.

He loves, loves, loves his quilts.

He sleeps on my tummy. :)

He sleeps in my arms. :)

He peeks out from his quilt.

He loves sleeping on his back too.
